Welcome back my lovelies! Thank you for the responses from my last post! Today I thought I'd write about my evening routine especially as half term has started and I have more time to take care of my skin. Depending on what time I get home from college and how much work I have to do impacts on the amount of time I have to relax. I either get home at 11am or 5pm so I always try and get some work done when I'm home early whether it be typing notes up or finishing off some questions from my lectures that day. Undoubtedly, as soon as I get home I check all my social medias (Snapchat, Instagram etc) and reply to any urgent emails. I also check how my blog is doing and reply to your contact forms (which I love to receive) whilst making a mug of tea. After about 20 minutes of catching up I start to do my work which I find so easy in a quiet household because I have no distractions. If I get in late (6pm ish) due to traffic, then unless I have any assignments in for the next day, I won't do any work. After we have dinner I usually go up to my room where I take my makeup off and watch tv, The first step to my skincare routine is using Garnier Miceller Water which I just use to take off the majority of my makeup. This is such an easy and quick way which doesn't leave my skin dry at all. Whilst taking my makeup off I also make sure to keep myself hydrated by keeping a bottle of VOSS water on my dressing table. Next I use the Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser which takes off any traces of makeup, waterproof mascara and revitalizes the face. I never got a truly clean feel with any other product, of course charcoal will clean out your pores. Within 3 days of use twice daily my skin looked AND felt better. I still get breakouts, but they are a lot smaller and they happen less frequently! This wash does tend out to dry out my skin after use, but I find it worth it as I only have to apply some moisturizer after. I then use the ELF Water Droplet Balm (which I also feature here). I love this because it's so thin and lightweight and so it doesn't feel thick and suffocating on the skin, sometimes I find when it's heavy I don't want to do anything because I don't want to get grease everywhere. I also take this time to stay hydrated and so I always have a full bottle of VOSS water which I try to at least drink half of. Next I get changed into some cozy PJ's and fluffy socks, go downstairs and either make myself a cup of tea or hot chocolate. At the weekend I make myself a hot chocolate as a self care reward (if you would like to see a self care video let me know in the anonymous survey) where as in the week I have tea as it's healthier and just as nice. I now either watch TV with my parents or go online shopping on my iPad (it's usually the latter). When I go back upstairs I use the ELF Overnight Restoring Moisturizer with some of the Bath & Body Works Moisturizer on my drier areas. They both smell amazing and leave my skin feeling hydrated and looking glowy. My last step is to add the ELF Spot roller ball, since it contains aloe and salicylic acid it really calms the skin, reduces redness and heal pimples. That's all for today lovelies! See you soon, Em x
