Hi Lovelies! I’m so sorry I haven’t written in a month however I have been off on holiday and took this time to spend with my family and relax which I think is the key to happiness. If you want to check out my travels and places we visited check it out here, I will also be updating you with the more glamorous side of my travels, so stay in tune for that! As I’m from the UK, the only way we can get ELF products is by ordering online, and although I love a good online haul, I desperately wanted to visit one of the very few stores they have. When I walked in I was immediately greeted with the very helpful, friendly staff. The store has a great lay out so all categories of products are together e.g eyes, lips, skincare. I went round the store twice just so I knew I had looked at everything and didn’t miss anything. I was most excited about the beauty shield collection however they didn’t have all of the collection which was a bit disappointing however it meant I could try a couple of products out and order the rest back home. Now to the fun part, what I bought and my review: The first thing(s) I picked up were the black brush holders. I had seen these online a few months ago yet didn’t know which colour to get so decided to wait to see them in person. I chose the black since it wouldn’t looked marked if foundation got on there and it didn’t have a bar across two of the squares like the white one did. It has a soft feel to touch (similar to NARS packaging) and I love these holders. I use the smaller one for eye brushes and the larger one for face brushes. (If you want me to go through the brushes I own, then please let me know by leaving a comment down below and following me) 8/10 Beauty Shield Overnight Recovery Cream – I love this, since it has vitamin C it smells like oranges and you really notice the difference in the morning. Your skin feels soft, bouncy and revitalized which encouraged me to use it every night. One of my favourite features are the rollerballs since it not only gives you a massage, you don’t touch your face to rub it in and the balls are usually cold so it feels refreshing on the face. 10/10 Gentle Peeling Exfoliant – OMG this is my ultimate favourite, I remember trying something like this a few years ago and it was around $50 so this is a bargain! As soon as I tried it I popped one in my basket. I use this after my cleanser so I know all small traces of makeup are off my skin before I moisturise. You apply it as a liquid and within a few seconds of rubbing it on your skin, balls of dead skin start to appear, it really is magical. It also leaves the skin feeling soft and clean which is a really big part of my routine. 10/10 Water Droplet Balm – This is another unique, innovative idea i haven’t seen before. In the pot it looks a lot like petroleum jelly however with one small touch it almost melts and turns into water, it makes applying moisturizer not feel to heavy or creamy since I hate it when it feels like you are covered in it. It is incredibly light and great to use before applying makeup since it dries quickly. 9/10 That’s all for today! I have another post to write for this post however I feel it will get too long and boring if I post it all at once. Please leave a comment or contact me. See you soon! Em x
