Thank you all for your latest comments on my most recent post and votes on my Instagram poll (@emmatreadwellx). As it is highly requested, I thought I'd explain how I do my makeup which usually takes me 30 minutes (unless I'm doing winged eyeliner and false lashes). ELF Water Droplet Balm ($10) The first step is always to moisturise my face. This means my face wont get dry and my makeup has a better base. It is a lightweight moisturizer that starts out as a balm but breaks down into a hydrating water once applied, this allows it to soak in thoroughly and quickly so i can get started on my makeup. ELF Flawless Finish Foundation & Sephora 10H Wear Perfect foundation (£7.50 & $20) The Elf foundation is my go to since to yellow tones blend seamlessly into my neck without leaving a line. It is also full coverage and for £7.50 I don't think you can go wrong. It also contains SPF 15 which means you don't have to worry about the sun damaging your face. I occasionally mix the Sephora foundation with it to add more coverage however the added pink tones can leave me looking slightly red if I'm not careful. I use the Sonia Kashuk Buffing Brush No. 130 Elf - Light Ivory Sephora - 05 light LA Girl Pro & Collection Lasting perfection ($5 & £4) I then go in with my concealer which I use to brighten up my under eye area and conceal some blemishes. I usually use my collection concealer under my eyes but unfortunately I have run out so I am currently using the LA Girl pro both on blemishes and my under eye area. Real Techniques Contour brush Collection - 1 fair LA Girl - Porcelain Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder I use this powder to set my makeup into place since, as you can see, the foundation is pretty oily and needs to mattified. This doesn't add any extra coverage however I don't find I really need it. Sonia Kashuk No.01 Shade - Translucent Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade This is my favourite pomade as it's so creamy and really does last all day. I've had this product for around 14 months and I still have quite a lot left meaning it is super pigmented as you don't need much and you don't need to keep rebuying it. (Please excuse the state of my eyebrows, I'm getting them done next week!) Elf beautifully precise eyebrow brush Shade - auburn ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder (£5.00) I use the darker shade to contour and although it is extremely warm toned, I find ashy contours don't suit my face and warm tones make me look more bronzed. This is my favourite formula since it is a really lightweight powder that blends effortlessly without leaving a harsh line. Sonia Kashuk No.17 Sephora contour brush (from the contour collection Shade - Turks & Caicos Wet n Wild coloricon bronzer This is my absolute favourite bronzer since it has a light shimmer but it's not too glowy. The colour isn't orange and gives me a great sunkissed glow. I use this on my cheeks, cheekbones, temples, nose and forehead. Modern Renaissance & MAC Pigment I firstly use golden ochre and burnt orange using a spectrum A06 brush in my crease since these are beautiful transitional shades. I then use Red Ochre to deepen the crease more and blend this upwards almost to my eyebrow until it fades. I use antique bronze in my rease to deepen it further and blend it out. Using a spectrum B04 brush I add Cyprus Umber to my outer corner and blend it into the orange (realgar). I then add primavera on my lid and use vermeer as an inner corner highlight. The MAC Pigment is then placed under my eyes to add a bit of shimmer which I occasionally add red ochre too to give some depth. Modern Renaissance MAC Pigment - copper sparkle Better than Sex & Lash Domination These two mascaras both add volume and length and so I use them everyday. I have tried other mascaras and KIKO has some great affordable mascaras too so I'd definitely recommend them. Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick This lipstick is so lightweight I honestly forget I'm wearing it. It doesn't crumble when you talk which I know some do and it doesn't have uneven patches after a while. This is all I have basically worn for the past year. Shades - Pure Hollywood (my fave!), Stripped. This is the final look! That's all for today! I really hoped you enjoyed this as I loved writing about it! Please leave comment of your opinion and what I should do or try differently. Also please tell me what you would like to see next and subscribe!
